Lamp Rynearson was the civil engineer and surveyor to renovate WSA Alert Fire Team Facility for Minot Air Force Base. The goal of this project was to bring the facility in compliance with DOD 5210.41M Volume 2, enclosure 3, paragraph 3.c(4), Nuclear Weapon Security Manual or AFMN 31-108. The project site was inside the Weapons Storage Arear; providing unique access for the design team, construction crews and materials in the future.
Our crews performed a topographic survey of the project area, which served as a base plan for a design charrette and project design. Design included removal of necessary features, grading design of project area, utility connections and design of a new driveway.

The project required close coordination with facility users, Minot AFB staff and other design team members. Renovation required new sanitary sewer and water main connections. United States Army Corps of Engineers PACSE software was used to design pavements capable of handling unique security vehicles.
