Haysville, Kansas
The City of Haysville needed a new natatorium, and Lamp Rynearson was equipped to design a top-rate competitive pool that serves the high school swim team, community members, and visitors. The indoor pool consists of eight lap lanes and two 1-meter diving boards, featuring about 250,000 gallons of water and an area of 5,800 square feet.
A high priority while designing this facility was to make sure it was fast. The swimming pool depths were looked at closely as well as the type of gutter. The City had also requested that there be a 1,400 square foot area where the depth is only 4’, so that it could be used for instructional purposes. The result was not only a competitive pool, but a great teaching pool.
