Lamp Rynearson was the aquatics designer for this multi-use community pool. The design includes both exercise space and unique leisure components.
From the beginning of the project the Owner put a priority on designing a facility that offered something for all ages. The new facility has separate shallow play areas to accommodate toddlers and small children. The deeper water has many unique amenities including a waterslide current channel and basketball goal for visitors. Additionally, the pool has ample room to offer visitors a variety of exercise swimming, lessons and aerobics classes. An accessible sloped entry allows easy transition from the shallow to deeper water users of these programs.
Overall, the design intent of the facility was to create a vibrant and exciting space for all users. The pool can comfortably facilitate user’s accessibility issues, large exercise classes and all forms of recreational swimming.
