As a senior project engineer looking for a new opportunity 25 years ago, Terry Atkins was drawn to the size and possibilities Lamp Rynearson had to offer. Since joining the firm in 1998, he has become the Chief Operating Officer and has lived out Lamp Rynearson’s purpose statement of Leaving a legacy of enduring improvements to our communities. From the CHI Health Center Arena and Midtown Crossing to current developments like Heartwood Preserve and The Crossroads, Terry has helped improve our communities through project leadership and civil engineering.
Terry has fond memories of client interactions on many projects. However, one that still stands out today is the riverfront redevelopment during the late 90s and early 2000s. This redevelopment changed the face of North downtown Omaha and helped spark a wave of revitalization that continues today.
One of Terry’s favorite projects to date is The Crossroads redevelopment, which is currently under construction. A large redevelopment project right in the heart of the City will provide mixed uses such as residential, retail, dining, and entertainment.
When he’s not leading some of the largest projects Lamp Rynearson has been a part of, you can find Terry enjoying what he calls “his happy place,” which is woodworking. Congratulations, Terry, on 25 years of dedicated service to Lamp Rynearson and our community!
