Aaron Grote once started as an intern with Lamp Rynearson because he “wanted to make sure he wanted to be an engineer.” Aaron found an internship opportunity with Lamp Rynearson through a family friend who gave him Terry’s business card; he has now worked with Lamp Rynearson for 20 years as a Senior Project Engineer.
Flanagan Lake Interceptor Sewer Project has been one of Aaron’s favorite projects he’s worked on within the last year. The project included over a mile of large sanitary sewer pipe and will open up a large area of northwest Omaha for development. “The public works project differed from the typical private development projects I work on.”
Aaron’s goals for the future consist of continuing education and growth as an engineer: “The best part of the job for me is to work on different projects and come up with solutions to the hundreds of opportunities that present themselves in every project.”
Some of his favorite Lamp Rynearson memories include the basketball and softball games, tailgates and cookouts, the Christmas party, and of course, the post-Christmas Karaoke party. His most memorable work experience was the time spent working at Eppley Airfield.
When he’s not contributing to the long-term success of Lamp Rynearson, you can find Aaron on the court coaching basketball. Aaron currently coaches his son and daughter’s elementary teams. Congratulations, Aaron, on 20 fabulous years with Lamp Rynearson!
