Capitol District

Omaha, Nebraska
August 28, 2017

A Capitol Connection! Connecting the Old Market to NoDo (North Downtown Omaha), the Capitol District is an urban multi-use, year-round destination. A large Marriott Hotel, apartments, and office space anchor this 2-square block project – all looking out on the City’s first designated entertainment district. At the center of the development is a large central plaza that hosts restaurant patios, a stage, fountain, and unique landscape and hardscape amenities. Live music, restaurants, pubs, community events, and winter ice skating combine to equal an exceptional social and recreational scene.

Lamp Rynearson worked closely with the developer, investors, the
City of Omaha, utility companies and several design professionals over the projects evolution. Platting, traffic studies, site design, plaza design, stormwater management design and construction administration are on the list of services provided. Still more to come!
