Legacy LAB
engage. encourage. change.
What do bridges, clean water, playgrounds, and space rockets all have in common? They all start with someone asking, “What if…?”
At Lamp Rynearson, we believe cultivating the spirit of curiosity should start early—and that future engineers are already sitting in today’s classrooms. That’s why we created Legacy LAB, a hands-on STEM outreach program designed to bring the world of engineering to life for elementary and middle school students.
In each Legacy LAB session, our team of engineers become classroom mentors—guiding students through a quick introduction to a real-world engineering concept, followed by a fun, age-appropriate explanation of how it connects to everyday life. Then, students dive into a creative, hands-on activity that gets them thinking, building, and imagining like real engineers.
We’re growing a library full of exciting activities tied to classroom curriculum—because we know when kids build, experiment, and imagine together, they’re building more than projects. They’re building confidence, teamwork, and the idea that they belong in the world of STEM.
Legacy LAB helps students see that engineering isn’t just about math and machines—it’s about curiosity, creativity, and making the world better. And that’s something anyone can be a part of.
So go ahead, ask “What if…?” We’ll bring the blueprints—and maybe a few marshmallows.
