With its population doubling in the past ten years, The City of Gardner, Kansas has experienced one of the highest growth rates in the state. To accommodate future growth, Gardner turned to Larkin Lamp Rynearson for a solution to provide a sufficient water supply for the community. Our work with the community over the years has included developing a second source of water at nearby Hillsdale Lake, updating Gardner’s Water System Study, and recently designing an expansion for the Hillsdale Lake intake and treatment plant without disrupting service during construction. The expansion was completed as a design build project to shorten the project development period.
