Kearney, Missouri
Lamp Rynearson has been working with the City of Kearney for decades, providing long term planning for essential water and wastewater improvements to their community. Our engineers completed a Sewer System Master Plan for the City in 2002, which established a long-term plan for providing future sewer service for almost 20,000 acres in and around Kearney, Missouri, which included the Fishing River and Clear Creek Drainage areas.
Phase I of the West Creek Sewer was constructed in 2004 to serve a portion of the Fishing Creek Watershed. The $1.7 million interceptor sewer included approximately 13,000 feet of 24” and 27” interceptor sewers with creek and interstate highway crossings. Phase 1 provided sewer service for development west of Highway I-35.
Phase II of the West Creek Sewer was designed in 2018 and constructed in 2019. The project provided gravity sewers for existing and future development on the west side of the City and decommissioned two lift stations. The $1.7 million-dollar project included approximately 9,000 feet of 8” through 24” gravity sewers.
