At Lamp Rynearson, leadership isn’t just a title — it’s a responsibility to shape the future, inspire innovation, and leave a lasting legacy for the communities we serve. As we continue building toward what’s next, we’re excited to announce the appointment of two dedicated leaders to our Board of Directors: Robin Matthes, CPA and Regan Pence, PLA.
Robin Matthes: Strengthening Our Financial Future
As our Chief Financial Officer, Robin Matthes has played a pivotal role in ensuring Lamp Rynearson’s financial health, guiding our fiscal strategy with foresight and precision. Her deep expertise — spanning over 20 years across public and nonprofit sectors — has helped uphold one of our core values: maintaining financial stability to ensure we control our destiny.
Now, as a member of our Board of Directors, Robin’s strategic mindset and passion for financial stewardship will continue shaping our long-term vision, ensuring we’re ready to embrace both opportunities and challenges ahead.
“Robin’s leadership has been instrumental in strengthening our financial foundation,” said Dave McIvor, CEO & President. “Her ability to anticipate industry shifts, align strategy, and foster innovation makes her an ideal fit for our Board.”
Regan Pence: Elevating Our Impact in Kansas City and Beyond
Also joining the Board is Regan Pence, PLA, Kansas City Office Leader, and a recognized expert in municipal and private development projects. Regan’s journey at Lamp Rynearson began 12 years ago as a landscape architect, driven by a desire for professional growth. Today, his focus has expanded to helping our company — and the communities we serve — learn, grow, and thrive together.
“I’m ready to contribute to the Board’s vision and help shape goals that support our team, our clients, and our future,” said Regan.
With a proven track record of building high-performing teams and expanding services in the Kansas City region, Regan brings valuable insights and collaborative leadership to our firm-wide initiatives — helping us leave a legacy that reflects the values we stand for.
Honoring a Legacy of Leadership
As we welcome Robin and Regan, we also extend our heartfelt thanks to Joe Oetken, P.E., who has served on our Board of Directors since 2017. Joe’s steadfast leadership and commitment to Lamp Rynearson’s purpose have made a lasting impact. While stepping away from his Board role, Joe will continue to shape our success as Construction Administration Group Leader — a position where his expertise and passion for client service continue to shine.
Looking Ahead
With Robin and Regan’s commitment to purpose-driven leadership, our Board of Directors is poised to drive future-ready solutions for our stakeholders. Together, we’re ready to build on our legacy — creating spaces, infrastructure, and opportunities that help communities thrive for generations to come.
