At Lamp Rynearson, we believe strong communities begin with strong advocates. That belief comes to life with the addition of John Brindle, who joins the firm as Senior Project Advocate under our Federal Government projects practice. John retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force after 34 years of combined service in the Air Force and Navy. Serving as a Civil Engineer Officer, he led teams in delivering complex infrastructure projects while investing in the growth and success of those he guided. Throughout his career, his leadership has been defined by guiding teams, delivering complex projects, and investing in people.
From the Director of Civil Engineers Staff at the Pentagon to commanding a Civil Engineer Squadron (leading public works and housing) at Air Force bases nationwide, Brindle’s path has been one of service and strategy. Now, he brings that mission-driven leadership to Lamp Rynearson, where his focus will be on helping clients achieve their goals while strengthening the communities they serve.
Throughout his distinguished service, Brindle successfully led large-scale infrastructure initiatives and cross-functional teams, advancing mission-critical projects with precision and vision. His career highlights include serving on the staff at the Director of Civil Engineers, Headquarters Air Force (Washington, D.C.), Civil Engineer Squadron Commander at Altus AFB (Oklahoma), and the Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s lead Program Manager for the $1 Billion reconstruction and Infrastructure Development at Offutt AFB (Nebraska). In these roles, he managed multi-million-dollar programs, built collaborative partnerships, and strengthened organizations through talent development and strategic foresight.
“John brings a disciplined, mission-focused approach that aligns with our firm’s commitment to deliver not just technical excellence, but solutions that strengthen communities and shape a legacy for generations,” said CEO and President Dave McIvor.
Brindle’s addition strengthens the firm’s continued expansion of our Federal Government experience with thoughtful, future-focused solutions across infrastructure, community development, and environmental projects. His leadership reflects the firm’s enduring commitment to people, purpose, and progress. With John on board, Lamp Rynearson continues to grow its capacity to shape resilient, connected communities—and to build a legacy that lasts for generations.
