After a college classmate enjoyed their internship and recommended Lamp Rynearson 20 years ago, Land Surveyor and 3D Practice Lead Chris Schulte was drawn to all the recognizable community-changing projects Lamp Rynearson has participated in throughout the metro area.
As a field technician earlier in his career, one of Chris’s favorite projects was the West Dodge Expressway bridge. Performing survey layout for the West Dodge Expressway bridge project that spans from Old Mill Road to just west of 120th Street during 2004-2006. A massive project requiring survey crews to measure and walk on bridge girders 50 feet above traffic, monitor bridge piers during overnight concrete decking pours, and perform extensive construction layouts in high-stress situations.
“It’s one of the most recognizable bridges in the community and the state of Nebraska, and I’m proud to have been a part of it.”
Eppley Airfield’s Terminal Drive project has been Chris’s favorite project to work on in the last year. It was a community-changing project designed to make travel efficient and safer as vehicles approach the terminals and parking garage areas. During this project, Chris enjoyed the challenges of coordinating survey work as a survey project manager. The Terminal Drive involved several contractors and phases to complete and was the largest project to date Chris has worked on as a project manager.
Recently promoted to 3D Practice Lead, Chris is excited to expand our technology and increase our drone, scanning, and AR/VR services.
“Technology continues to change our industry; I’m glad to be a part of the processes as the technology evolves.”
When he’s not managing survey projects or expanding our technology services, Chris spends time with friends and family in the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. Congratulations on your major milestone of 20 years!
