Senior Project Engineer Isaac Knutson’s journey to Lamp Rynearson began with a desire for change. Drawn to a job posting at Lamp Rynearson that promised a return to design-focused work, Isaac’s decision to apply was pivotal, and every interaction with his new colleagues has reinforced his happiness with joining the company.
Isaac’s favorite project in the past year has been the Nebraska State Patrol Headquarters renovation near 72nd and I-680 in Omaha. This project marked his first major undertaking in his new role, allowing him to engage in every phase of the project lifecycle. From client meetings and site investigations to in-depth analysis and design, the project provided a comprehensive experience.
Looking ahead, Isaac aims to deepen his understanding of federal projects and refine his technical skills to enhance the financial success of the projects he works on. In the long term, he aspires to transition into more project management roles, expanding his involvement in project leadership.
One of Isaac’s most memorable experiences at Lamp Rynearson was participating in a design charrette for a fire station at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The opportunity to travel to a new location in the spring and collaborate with the Kenneth Hahn architectural staff was a highlight of his first year with the company.
Isaac enjoys playing ultimate frisbee outside of work, especially in pleasant weather. The sport offers a blend of social interaction, team camaraderie, and a healthy outlet for his athleticism and competitive spirit. Congratulations, Isaac, on your first year with Lamp Rynearson!
