Work Here, Grow Here: One Year with Sydney Kinney
June 9, 2026
1 Year of Leaving a Legacy

When Sydney Kinney walked into her interview at Lamp Rynearson, she was looking for more than just a job. She was looking for a place where people genuinely work together. What she found was exactly that.
“There was a strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork,” Sydney recalls. “It was clear that the company values working together and fostering a supportive environment where people can learn and rely on each other.” One year later, she has not just found that culture. She has helped shape it.
From Interviews to Interior Design
As a Senior Administrative Assistant, Sydney keeps a lot of moving pieces in motion. But ask her about her favorite project from the past year, and she lights up talking about something a little different: coordinating the office remodel.
Sydney took the lead on selecting paint colors and contributing to design decisions for the kitchen and conference rooms. She worked directly with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to keep scheduling on track and work through challenges as they came up. The result? An office that feels noticeably brighter and more modern.
“It was rewarding to help manage all the moving pieces and see the vision come together,” she says. “It has been great to hear so many positive comments about how much brighter and modern the office feels now.”
Building Something That Lasts
Sydney’s goals for the year ahead reflect the same mindset that brought her to Lamp Rynearson in the first place. She wants to keep growing, deepen her knowledge, and become more involved in supporting project managers. She is not just looking to check boxes. She is looking to contribute in new ways and take on more responsibility over time.
That kind of forward-thinking approach is exactly what makes someone a valuable part of a team built for the long haul.
The Moments That Matter
When asked about her best memory from the past year, Sydney did not point to a single milestone. She pointed to the small ones, the birthday recognitions, the office wins, the legacy outings, and the employment anniversaries.
“They helped create a strong sense of community,” she says, “and made the workplace feel enjoyable and connected beyond just day-to-day project work.”
Those moments are not small at all. They are the fabric of a culture worth staying for.
Beyond the Office
When Sydney is not coordinating schedules or supporting her team, you will likely find her with a book in hand. She is a devoted reader with a love for fantasy and fantasy romance. For her, reading is a way to unwind and step into imaginative worlds far beyond the everyday.
It is a fitting hobby for someone who already proved she can take a vision and make it real.
Here is to year one, Sydney. The best chapters are still ahead.
