Scott’s story with Lamp Rynearson began even before the company acquired Larkin, where he was already making an impact. “I was a Larkin employee before Lamp bought us out. Was with Larkin/Lamp for 7 years. Left for 5 years and came back. It will be 5 years this November,” Scott shares. His return to Lamp Rynearson was driven by the strong sense of community and the opportunity to work alongside long-term employees. “Our office has some great staff,” he adds, highlighting the camaraderie that makes Lamp Rynearson a special place to work.

When asked about his favorite project over the past year, Scott’s enthusiasm for variety shines through. “I work on a little bit of everything. Favorite projects were with our Aquatics group, though. I like the detail work of Water/wastewater projects.” His appreciation for the intricacies of design and his willingness to take on diverse projects make him a valuable asset to the team.

Looking ahead, Scott is focused on growth and making a meaningful impact. “Working on multiple projects where I can be the most useful. Learning new things is always fun,” he says. His commitment to continuous learning and adaptability ensures that he remains at the forefront of his field.

One of Scott’s most cherished memories at Lamp Rynearson is participating in the Christmas in October workdays. “The Volunteers all work as a team at improving living conditions and homes for Kansas City homeowners.” This experience reflects Scott’s dedication not only to his work but also to giving back to the community.

Outside of the office, Scott’s passion for restoration and classic cars takes center stage. “I restore, collect, and drive old Volkswagens. Have a couple I enjoy and one I hate. It’s cursed,” he jokes, showing the same sense of humor and perseverance that he brings to his professional life.
