Legacy LAB

For far too long, we have been comfortable in the boxes that society sets. Recent years have made it increasingly obvious that to solve creative problems, there needs to be diverse thinkers. However, those thinkers often find themselves pressured to follow different paths into roles that fit what their societal box will put them in. To help combat this, Lamp Rynearson has created the Legacy LAB:

The Legacy LAB is a program aimed at elementary level students. In it, a group of mentors – employees from Lamp Rynearson dedicated to sparking that interest in engineering fields, will come to local classrooms and give an engineering experience. The mentors will present a simple engineering topic, then applicable concepts, and end with an interactive activity. The Legacy LAB continues to expand its library of interactive and educational engineering activities to provide curriculum centered topics. The possibilities are endless!

This level of STEM education helps create critical thinkers and skills in science literary, expertise often sought for and heavily used in the engineering world. Following one of our core values, this program will change the engineering mentality and perception; and spark an interest in those who may not think they belong. Together, we can build the engineers of tomorrow!
