My professional journey has been a remarkable and transformative adventure, leading me from the heart of Iowa’s construction industry to the dynamic world of Lamp Rynearson in Omaha, Nebraska. It all began in 2007 when my family and I made the move to Iowa, and I found myself on the hunt for a staff accountant position while still pursuing my accounting degree. Despite my limited knowledge of construction, I took a leap of faith and joined Cedar Valley Corp. in Waterloo, Iowa—a heavy highway concrete construction company. The nearly 13 years spent in the construction industry were filled with growth and learning, shaping my skills and expertise in accounting within the unique context of construction. The industry instilled in me a profound passion and a deep appreciation for the built environment.
In 2022, I embarked on a new chapter in my professional journey with Lamp Rynearson, joining as the Senior Accountant. From the very beginning, my intention was clear—to make Lamp my long-term professional home.
Reflecting on my time at Lamp Rynearson, I find genuine joy in working with my accounting team. Their seamless collaboration, support, and willingness to guide me through the “Lamp way” have contributed significantly to my sense of fulfillment and excitement about my future with the company.
As I navigate my current role at Lamp Rynearson, my journey stands as a living testament to the belief that challenges are opportunities for growth and that the pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong adventure.
