Fort Lupton Fire Station No. 3

Fort Lupton, CO

Fort Lupton Fire Station No. 3 strengthens emergency response coverage for the community and supports the district’s long-term operational needs with a modern, purpose-built facility. Designed to meet today’s fire and EMS demands, the station features functional apparatus bays, firefighter living quarters, and support spaces that improve response times and enhance service reliability across the district.

Lamp Rynearson provided civil engineering and surveying services tailored to the unique operational and safety requirements of a new fire station. A key aspect of the project involved enclosing an existing irrigation ditch that crossed the site, enabling safe, unobstructed emergency vehicle access. This improvement required careful hydraulic coordination, structural considerations, and collaboration with local ditch authorities to ensure long-term performance and maintain water conveyance capacity.

The site layout also includes dedicated space for potential helicopter landing operations, offering the district added flexibility during major incidents or medical emergencies. Lamp Rynearson developed grading, pavement design, and circulation geometry to support heavy apparatus movement, efficient site access, and reliable year-round functionality. Coordination with the City of Fort Lupton led to improvements to adjacent Rollie Avenue, ensuring the roadway could safely accommodate increased emergency response traffic. Utility coordination, drainage design, and surveying services supported the full development of the site and its integration with surrounding infrastructure. The result is a resilient, high-performing fire station that enhances emergency response, improves operational safety, and reflects the Fort Lupton Fire Protection District’s commitment to reliable, future-ready public safety infrastructure.
