Frederick Firestone Fire Station No. 5

Frederick, CO

Frederick Firestone Fire Station No. 5 is a vital addition to one of Colorado’s fastest-growing regions, delivering a modern, purpose-built facility that enhances emergency response capabilities and supports the community’s evolving needs. Spanning approximately 14,000–15,000 square feet, the station features three pull-through apparatus bays, firefighter living quarters, a training mezzanine, and operational support spaces—all designed to improve readiness and reduce response times across the district.

Lamp Rynearson provided comprehensive civil engineering and surveying services for this project, providing a safe, functional, and resilient site tailored to the district’s operational requirements. The site’s location over an abandoned coal mine required meticulous planning and close collaboration with geotechnical engineers and the design team to guarantee long-term structural stability and reliable infrastructure. Lamp Rynearson’s team designed intuitive site circulation, durable pavement sections, and robust grading and drainage systems to support year-round operations and facilitate efficient emergency vehicle access.

Through close coordination with the Frederick Firestone Fire Protection District, municipal reviewers, utility providers, and project partners—including Golden Triangle Construction and Allred & Associates—Lamp Rynearson helped the project meet stringent safety and operational standards while streamlining the local approval process. The resulting fire station is a high-performing, community-focused asset that strengthens emergency response capacity, supports firefighter wellbeing, and reflects the district’s commitment to protecting residents as the region continues to grow.
