Cardinal Glass Industries is an industry-leading residential glass development corporation with 49 locations nationwide. To make the critical upgrades to the factory in Spring Hill, Kansas, Cardinal Glass needed to first understand what was possible.
Our team, equipped with 3D terrestrial scanners, meticulously scanned the glass plant from various strategic locations in and around the building. This approach ensured that production remained uninterrupted, even in areas with extreme temperatures. To capture areas that were inaccessible from the ground, a drone with photogrammetry capabilities was deployed, further enhancing the efficiency of the scanning process.
Updating aging infrastructure in certain areas, as well as plant renovations and expansion was Cardinal Glass’ ultimate goal. Our scanning provided 3D models for their engineering staff to redesign and rehabilitate the plant for increased capability.
