Omaha, Nebraska
Midtown Crossing is a $300 million redevelopment on the Mutual of Omaha campus and a nationally recognized award-winning project. This project transformed a neighborhood and corporate campus, creating a catalyst for future area growth. Lamp Rynearson was brought onboard at the project’s earliest stages by the developer, ECI Development Services, to work with the owner, Mutual of Omaha. The challenges of this unique project included working in and between two of Omaha’s busiest street corridors, Dodge Street and Farnam Street. The re-construction of Farnam Street included the implementation of complete street design concepts. Turner Park, one of the City’s original parks, was enlarged and transformed into a major community asset. Sewer separation, 100-year-old utilities, aggressive schedules, and the site logistics involved with building a project of this size were some of the obstacles the Lamp Rynearson team overcame.
