The Woodhouse Auto Family is expanding their brand reach in the Omaha marketplace. They needed a new facility to match Porsche’s brand requirements and meet the growing demand for luxury sports vehicles in the metro area.
Lamp Rynearson design professionals met the task while providing solutions to some unique site challenges. Nestled between an existing Infinity dealership and Pinnacle Bank, the triangle-shaped project site featured high visibility on the corner of 180th and West Dodge Road, as well as stormwater and grade challenges on the south end. Designs called for underground inventory parking below the dealership, so Lamp Rynearson engineers designed a retaining wall and ramp with an angle to accommodate Porsche’s vehicles’ low clearance. Coordination with the City of Omaha and NDOT was needed to design the relocation of the 42” storm sewer running under the site.
Engineers used special software to ensure the entire site was conducive to low-profile vehicles traveling throughout, along with feathering the transition in and out of Burt Street.
