Congratulations to Jason Bassett for one year of leaving a legacy at Lamp Rynearson!
When Field Technician Jason Bassett first stepped into the world of land surveying at Lamp Rynearson, he saw more than a job opportunity—he glimpsed a chance to elevate his career and, significantly, prioritize precious family moments.
Navigating the depths of mines, Jason discovered a profound connection with some of his favorite projects, contributing to setting up centerlines and conducting topographic surveys in newly mined areas. His expertise even earned him a spot on the front page of the Omaha World-Herald during his work on a streetcar project. This accomplishment resonates as a highlight in his professional journey.
Driven by a passion for growth, Jason sets his sights on climbing the Certified Survey Tech (CST) ranks and aspires to obtain licensure as a surveyor. Beyond professional milestones, big life goals are unfolding for Jason, one of the most significant being his impending role as a father. Anticipation fills the air as he and his wife eagerly await the arrival of their baby boy in March 2024.
Beyond the world of land surveying, Jason immerses himself in car tinkering—a hobby that allows him to enhance and repair vehicles, exploring the intricacies of their mechanics with his hands. With a 2011 Jeep Wrangler and a 1981 Datsun 280ZX in his garage, Jason finds solace and joy in the art of automotive craftsmanship when he’s not capturing essential land surveying information for construction and engineering projects. Jason’s journey is a symphony of professional pursuits, family dreams, and hands-on passions, all woven into the intricate fabric of his life at Lamp Rynearson.
