A winning combination of work/family balance and an opportunity to excel as an expert in the field of stormwater is what brought Senior Project Engineer Scott Oswald to join our team 15 years ago. Enjoying the flexibility that Lamp Rynearson has to offer, plus the opportunity to work on a large variety of projects is what Scott likes most about his work experience.
“Every day is a new adventure and never boring!”
One of Scott’s favorite projects he’s worked on is the Coastal Shores Sea Lion project at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium. A fully immersive sea lion and harbor seal habitat featuring a 275-thousand-gallon pool with a recirculating saltwater filtration system, artificially produced waves, and seasonally heated or chilled water. The centerpiece of the exhibit is a 40-foot-long underwater viewing window. Scott’s work included all civil-related aspects including demolition of the former bear canyon, site grading, site sanitary, storm and water utilities, design of a forebay in the adjacent aviary to meet water quality requirements, and site pavement designed to meet ADA requirements.
When Scott isn’t contributing his talents and knowledge to community changing projects, you can find him working on home improvement projects, building Lego sets, and contemplating life quietly in the garden. Congratulations on your 15-year anniversary Scott! #WorkHereGrowHere
