Construction Coordinator Steve Wight was initially drawn to Lamp Rynearson 25 years ago by the promise of a stable work environment that would foster personal and professional growth.
Steve was hired on to, what was then, our Telecommunications Department. However, during his first summer at Lamp Rynearson he had the opportunity to spend some time out on the field. He quickly realized he had a true passion for the Construction Department. He could be found out on the field ever since.
He has worked on many projects in his time as our Construction Coordinator. His favorite project in the last year has been the UBAS (ultra-thin bonded asphalt) project for the City of Papillion. He enjoyed the challenges of the project, such as overlaying 72nd and Cornhusker during peak traffic hours. Aside from a good challenge, Steve also derives satisfactions from seeing his projects being utilized by the public, such as Midtown Crossing and Shadow Lake.
“It is a wonderful feeling to see people using and enjoying some of the projects we work on,” Wight said.
He looks forward to continuing to Leave a Legacy, and providing the best products he can for our clients.
Outside of work, you can find Steve enjoying time with his kids and grandkids. We are thankful to have you on our team, and congratulations on 25 years!
