With 55 parks managed by the City’s resources, the City of Bellevue was in need of a plan for the future of their parks. Lamp Rynearson leads a consultant team to analyze park land, incorporate intensive community input, and determine the best future for the parks system in Bellevue.
Lamp Rynearson completed site visits and existing conditions analysis of all 55 parks in Bellevue, developing an interactive GIS map of each park, its amenities, and their condition. As part of the overall community outreach approach, Lamp Rynearson developed community workshops in which participants are engaged through an interactive, tactile park design activity and facilitated conversation to create a vision for parks. With a projected completion date in early 2023, Lamp Rynearson is currently developing recommendations for the parks system, park amenities, and a timeline, action plan, and recommended budget for the future of Bellevue’s parks.
